Rub the blessed water on the top of his head:

“You are connected, protected, loved, and blessed by the Divine Spirit.”

Rub the blessed water on his forehead:

“All your senses are blessed, protected, and awakened so that you may experience the magnificence of life”.

Rub the blessed water over his heart:

“Your heart is blessed so that you may feel love and compassion for yourself and others.”

Rub the blessed water on his hands:

“Your hands are blessed so that you may reach out and grab all of the goodness in life.”

Rub the blessed water on his feet:

“Your feet are blessed so that you may connect with the earth, be grounded, and stand with balance in this world.”

Samuel, know that your spirit is strong and will guide you through this life.

Know that you have ancestors to watch over you with protection and guidance.

Know that you are deeply loved and that your presence brings overwhelming joy.”

Fitwilliam, New Hampshire at the Fleur de Lis camp. What a fabulous place to hold a welcoming ceremony. There is a small clearing in the woods on the waterside that has an outdoor chapel with a stone altar. Mom had decorated with sunflowers to “symbolize prosperity, strength, courage, self-confidence; (green) symbolizes healing, balance, harmony, generosity.: and you could see their beautiful yellow heads from far away in the trees.

The entrance to the clearing is an arbour and each guest was smudged with sage by two fabulous young helpers so that their energies and selves were cleansed as the entered the space. This allowed all new energies created to be focused on Sam and he certainly welcomed all the warmth and goodwill that was flowing toward him. A beautifully elfin infant with enormous eyes and a smile that casts a happy glow all around. He behaved with great decorum and calm, even when I used cold water to bless him, he was a gentleman.

Each person there gave a blessing of their own to welcome Sam into the world and into their loving family and community. I was very honoured to be part of this day.

Welcome to the world Sam!

From Email:

Just wanted to express our deepest appreciation to you for officiating Sam’s blessing ceremony.
It was just what we had hoped it would be.
With joy and gratitude~ Nicci and Mike
